On Dathomir, he faced Taron Malicos, a fallen Jedi who tried to tempt him to the dark side. Cal stood firm and prevailed. He also earned the trust of Merrin, a Nightsister, who became a key ally in their fight against the Empire.

The Holocron and Confrontation with the Empire

Cal ultimately retrieved the Holocron but was attacked by Trilla Suduri, the Second Sister and former apprentice of Cere Junda. Cal defeated Trilla but spared her life, offering redemption. However, Darth Vader intervened and executed her, forcing Cal and his team to flee. Ultimately, Cal chose to destroy the Holocron to protect Force-sensitive children from Imperial exploitation, showcasing his maturity and wisdom.

Lightsaber Evolution and Combat Skills

Cal’s lightsaber symbolizes his growth. Initially a blue double-bladed weapon, it was damaged during Order 66. In hiding, he disassembled it to hide his Jedi identity. Later, he restored it to dual-blade mode and adapted it to split into two separate sabers for versatile combat. In "Fallen Order," players could customize its color to green, purple, yellow, cyan, or magenta, though canonically it remained blue.
